The Snake Line

The Snake Line

Snake (BIGFXHL26)

Named for his exceptional length "Snake" had such a strong and consistent genetic impact on his offspring that he became the "flagship" of our stud. A proven "sire of sires" we have maintained "Snake's" blood line at Chevredor. Due to a bizarre and tragic accident, "Snake" is no longer with us but we thankfully have semen stocks which will allow us to refresh this line in future generations. We kept him very busy as a sire but "Snake" still managed a creditable show record.

Chevredor's current, Snake Line sires

Chevredor Chrysos (CHVFA0463)

A worthy successor to his father, Chrysos's first major success was Junior Champion Buck in Sydney 2006. His show career has been somewhat neglected while we developed the export business however this buck stuns all who see him with his overwhelming masculinity and structural correctness.

Chevredor Golden Storm (CHVFB0538)

Exhibiting his father's same stamp of overt masculinity, strong bone structure and incredible hindquarter, Storm was contracted for sale prior to his father's death. The prince's ransom paid by the buyer in Sabah, Malaysia would nevertheless not have tempted us to sell had we known the tragedy that was about to befall Snake. We can console ourselves however that before leaving us Storm served a season with some of our top does and as expected, has produced a line of consistently correct and vigorous offspring.

Chevredor Golden Galaxy (CHVFC0831)

This outstandingly handsome young man gets double billing on our stud buck pages. His dam is our most favoured "Snake" daughter and his sire is "Fairfax". It is rare when crossing lines that the offspring will carry the best characteristics of each line but this boy is living proof that it can happen. Galaxy served his first season for Chevredor in 2009 and has progeny on the ground that will undoubtedly step up to take their place as top stud sires and dams.
